CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK AND NSTW SCI-MATH BATTLE 2021

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), through the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System, will conduct the NSTW Sci-Math Battle 2021, an academic quiz bee for Grade 5 learners in celebration of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) from November 22 to 27, 2021.

The academic quiz bee is a part of the STEM Promotions Program of the PSHS to encourage students to apply for scholarships offered by the PSHS. The regional quiz bees will be handled by the 16 PSHS campuses. The first prize winners from each region will qualify for the NSTW Sci-Math Battle 2021, which will be conducted by DOSTNSTW organizers on November 24, 2021.

Qualified Grade 5 learners from all the regions and their respective divisions are invited to join the said event. Schools and their respective school personnel are also invited to voluntarily join and to express their support for this activity.

Participation of public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order (DO) No. 9, s. 2005 titled, Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith. This is also subject to the no-collection policy as stated in Section 3 of Republic Act No. 5546 also known as “An Act Prohibiting the Sale of Tickets and/or the Collection of Contributions for Whatever Project or Purpose from Students and Teachers of Public and Private Schools, Colleges and Universities.”
