The Department of Education (DepEd) and the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA) opposes the academic freeze for the current school year amid COVID-19 pandemic.
In an interview with Education Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs, External Partnerships and Project Management Service Tonisito Umali, more than 24 million students have already enrolled this school year, which is scheduled to start on October 5.
He said that the agency is currently working on adjustments as the country transitions to blended learning amid pandemic.
