Officials and regional directors of the Department of Education (DepEd) will meet this Friday, August 14 regarding calls to delay the opening of classes on August 24, according to Education Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio.
It can be recalled that yesterday, August 13, at the virtual briefing, Briones insisted that the opening of the class will continue on August 24.
“Tuloy pa rin. Tuloy na tuloy talaga on August 24 ang opening of classes,” she stated.
San Antonio stressed that the final decision depends on Secretary Briones and President Rodrigo Duterte.
